LeonaLeona Louise (born 3 April , 1986) is a singer from America, songwriter and actress. Born in the London Borough Of Islington she attended the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology, Croydon. Lewis was a national star after winning The"X Factor"'s third series in the year 2006. She also received the PS1 Million recording contract from Syco Music. Her winning song, a cover from Kelly Clarkson's "A Moment like This", peaked at the top spot for four weeks on UK Singles Chart and broke records in the world by achieving 50,000 digital downloads within 30 minutes. In February 2007 Lewis agreed to sign a five-album deal in the United States with Clive Davis's record label, J Records. The success continued for Lewis when she released her debut album, Spirit (2007). The album has been certified as platinum by the UK, becoming the fourth-best-selling album in the 2000s. Spirit, according to Official Charts Company is the 21st Century's most-sold debut album by a female artist. Its single "Bleeding Love" was a hit for seven weeks at high on the UK charts, was also the highest-seller single in the year the year 2007. It was also the most-sold single in 2008, as well. Lewis received an award for her work, the Billboard Award for the Best New Artist. Echo was her second studio album. She also wrote the song "I Have You in My Eyes" on behalf of Avatar. Lewis also dropped "Collide" in 2011as a joint effort along with Swedish DJ Avicii. The album also came out as Hurt The EP in 2011, her debut extended play. Glassheart (2012) was Lewis the release of her three studio albums. It was an exciting and fresh style. Lewis draws inspiration from electronic and dubstep music. The Glassheart Tour was in the mid-year of 2013, and she began recording music for her debut Christmas album. Later that year, Christmas with Love, which featured the title track "One more night", reached number three across the UK. With this chart entry, Lewis made history as the only British single female in the top 5 spot with eight singles. She beat Olivia Newton John's record of seven.
